Dear Families, Happy Holiday Season! This classroom update will be for the last two weeks (11/27-12/8). In class, we quickly transitioned from talking about turkeys and being thankful to snow and holidays! Students have been continuing classroom routines and even had a Hank the Septopus visit and watch over them in the classroom. Important Information: -Scholastic Book Club orders are due on 12/13/17. Books are fantastic gifts for your early reader, plus we earn points for our classroom!! -We will be learning about a new holiday: Hanukkah from 12/11-12/15 -Tuesday 12/12/17 starts our very first day of Marketplace! -Buddy Reading with 5th Grade will occur on 12/13 -K-3 classes will have Jan Brett Day on 12/15 during the AM Kindergarten Academic Day: Literacy: During the week of 11/27-12/1, students learned about uppercase letters P and J. The identified both of their sounds, and learned the proper way for form both of these letters. During a few of our lessons, students brainstormed words that started with both of these letter sounds as well as watched two videos from Jack Hartmann about these letters. Check them out HERE and HERE! In addition, students worked on reading CVC words in reading group. Miss F has been teaching the children to "tap out" words with their fingers. During the week of 12/4-12/7, students learned about letters L, H and K. Students worked to identify all letters and their sounds to warm their brains up during ELA. We used wood pieces to form these letters on the board before discussing the step by step process to write all 3 of these letters. I shared with the students how the letter K can be tricky with its 2 little diagonal lines. In reading groups, students worked on taping out CVC words again, as well as, working on identifying vowel sounds in words. Below are some pictures of the students hard at work during literacy block! Math: During the week of 11/27-12/1, students have worked on a variety of mathematical skills. We have been continuing to practice number identification, talking about length and positional words and lastly working on ways to represent a single number. Students both worked on identifying and writing numbers 1-10 in a number book (which some students are still working on in class). On Tuesday, students shared what information they knew about length, and we measured a variety of objects in the classroom. The children did a great job thinking of complete sentences to compare two objects from the class together. Towards the end of the week, students learned about positional words and used Bruce the Shark from Finding Dory to physically show a positional word! Check out the pictures below :) Lastly, Thursday and Friday were spent discussing what the word representation means. Students received a piece of paper that was broken into 4 boxes. Each child was given a number and they had to represent that number 4 different ways. This activity helps to build a strong number sense in students. During the week of 12/4-12/7, students continued to work with their number representation papers, as well as learned a few more games to continue to practice number identification and counting. Mid-week, the children were taught a multi-step directional game and played with partners. The game was called Spin and Count! There are several pictures of the students playing below :) Towards the end of the academic week, students worked on sequencing numbers and practiced adding up to 10 as a whole class. As you may have scene, your child worked on completing addition problems to color code a kinara (which is a candle holder used in Kwanzaa). Kindergarten Enrichment: Social Studies As you may know, students have been working on identifying various needs and wants. On Friday (12/7) we wrapped up a week and a half long project to independently write out and 2 needs and 3 wants they have this holiday season. In addition, the children each drew detailed pictures to match what they wrote. These projects are currently hung in the hallway and will be sent home right before the holiday break for you to see yourselves :) Below is a picture sort the students completed whole class and independently during learning choice times. In addition, your son or daughter has/is learning about three big holidays celebrated in the month of December. The following is our holiday schedule: Kwanzaa --> 12/4-12/7 Hanukkah --> 12/11-12/15 **Special Guest on Friday** Christmas -->12/18-12/21 Science: In our Weather Unit, children have been learning about many different types of weather in our world. From sunshine, to tornados and the different types of clouds! In addition, your child have been introduced with weather instruments such as a thermometer. They completed activities that required them to practice reading and recording active temperatures outside at school! Micro: We have been busy preparing the Micro City Post Office for its first day of business! Students know their job title and the specific area they will be within working within our classroom. We have spent time to watch videos of what a postal worker does (a day in the life of a USP Worker) and what happens to a letter when it is mailed. This week, your child continued to learn about parts of a letter and wrote a parent a letter about Kwanzaa (coming home on Monday in the take home folder!) to help practice the stages/parts of a letter. Yesterday, students paid for and received a micro badge that they will be required to wear each day during Micro. Below Miss F has some great pictures from the last two weeks!! Happy Thanksgiving Kinder Families! What a beautiful Thanksgiving it is going to be! I hope you all travel safe and enjoy time spent with family and friends! As you know, we had a very short week...but A LOT OF FUN with several Thanksgiving activities. On Monday, we had our classroom harvest party! Students created a fantastic turkey that they brought home in a bag on Monday evening. Students were able to identify colors, work on their fine motor skills and sort colored pasta in order to complete this project. The students even enjoyed a delicious fest of fruits and vegetables after creating their turkey! Below are some photos: For fun, our class watched Charlie Browns Thanksgiving. After, we discussed what a Venn diagram was and filled it in as a class. We discovered some things we had in common despite the silly cartoon! In addition, our class met the 7th graders from Mrs. Doyon's class. Each kindergartener was paired up with a big kid to complete a Thanksgiving mat! Students had to tell their 7th grade buddy what they were thankful for. The 7th grade buddy scribed for the Kindergartener and then they got to color together :) Dear Families, Just like that...Thanksgiving is just days away! Last week, the students and I spent a lot of time creating fun turkey math projects and listening to one another share about Thanksgiving plans. Coming up this week, Miss F has two fun filled days planed with a party and lots of Thanksgiving crafts! I look forward to having a relaxed few days of academic review and bonding with students before our break. Important Information: -Classroom Harvest Party 11/20/17 10-11 AM -Monday: Guidance -Tuesday: Music *Please send your child to school with appropriate outdoor gear to keep them warm! Kindergarten Academic Day Literacy: This week we spent time learning about capital letters E and R. We brainstormed various words that start with these letter sounds and noticed E was our final vowel we learned about. I shared with the students a vowel song that we will revisit several different times throughout the school year. Students have been recalling the important rule about vowels: every single word has at least one vowel in it. In Kindergarten, students only learn about short vowel sounds. In addition, students did an excellent job with their handwriting practice of these two letters this past week. In reading group, we did lots of work with letter tiles this week. We built CVC words (consonant vowel consonant) both as a group and individually. Students even received a chance to build their own CVC word. Click HERE for the Short Vowel Song! Click HERE for the letter R song! Math: During our math block this week, we warmed up by either playing target number or reviewed shapes. We had extra practice of number stories and Miss F even created a story about some of her students from this year. Mid week, students talked about place value and created a fantastic turkey using ten frames! These turkeys are currently hung up in the hallway. With some extra time, the children and I explored graphing more. On Friday, our class had a "10 Bean Spill" lesson, inquiring about different ways to make the number 10. The children and I had an extra activity of creating a turkey with red and yellow feathers that went home in backpacks at Friday dismissal. Kindergarten Enrichment Day Buddy Reading: Miss Froleiks and Miss Carideo's classes buddy read and continued to build relationships with one another through reading and literacy :) Science:
Weather, weather and MORE WEATHER! The students have become very excited to learn about various types of weather. From types of weather that are local to us, to extreme weather such as tornados and severe hurricanes. The children have begun to learn important weather tools and when we return from Thanksgiving Break, we will begin several projects to dive deeper into our exploration. Social Studies: More exploration into Needs and Wants for our community! Miss F is currently putting together an end of the unit donation project that will be announced after the return from Thanksgiving Break! We will continue to write about needs and wants in class using lots of detailed pictures. Micro: It was a busy week during our micro block! Our managers attended manager meetings as the rest of our business had our first reflection day and drew a picture that represented what they most look forward to about starting marketplace in a few weeks. In addition, as a venture we complied a list of materials we will need to purchase from the warehouse. *Currently, there are two items listed on our classroom wish list that we need for our micro venture (#4 and #5). If purchased and donated, our venture would be able to "purchase" those items from the warehouse using our businesses micro money. By the end of the week, our venture managers worked on creating important documents for our business such as W2's, Income Ledgers and Attendance/Payroll checklists. Recess During Winter Months
It is getting colder outside and a few families have reached out to me regarding winter attire and playground use in the winter months. According to our school policy (as seen in the handbook): "Factors such as the outside temperature, wind chill, and the condition of the playground are considered before a decision to cancel outdoor recess is made. Indoor recess is called when the temperature or wind chill is 20° or below. Students should arrive at school expecting to be outside for a portion of the day. Dress should be appropriate for coping with the elements." If there is snow, then students need FULL GEAR (including boots and snow pants), otherwise they get wet outside. If it's cold but there is no snow on the ground, then coat, hat, and gloves/mittens is enough. If the temperature or wind chill is above 20, they WILL be going outside unless there is a doctor's note stating that they should not. Food Drive for Thanksgiving Families in Need: We need your assistance to help local families for Thanksgiving. Any assistance that you can provide is greatly appreciated! We are asking all MACS families to help donate Thanksgiving items so they can be placed in a basket and handed out to a wonderful family next Tuesday! If all items could be donated by Monday, Nov. 20th that would be greatly appreciated. A list of items can be found through the link below: CLICK HERE FOR THE SIGN UP SHEET! Hello & Happy Sunday!! We had yet another short week in Kindergarten! Parent teacher conferences went well and I am sure you all enjoyed a long weekend at home together. Miss Froleiks was lucky enough to visit with family down in Connecticut over the holiday weekend. Coming up this week, we have a full 5 days to learn about 2 new letters a some new math concepts. Important Information: -Scholastic Book Orders are due 11/17/17 -Our classroom code is Q2PHY - K-1 Club: Movement Themed starts 11/15/17 -Gym is on Thursdays, please send your child to school with sneakers! Kindergarten Academic Day: Literacy: Last week, we were able to learn about the letter D. Students were extremely quick to think of words that began with the /D/ sound in class. During whole group lessons, children learned the correct formation: "Kiss your dot, big line down, pick up your pencil, kiss your dot, big curve". In class, students are really working on making sure their letters are sitting on the line, instead of "diving down" or "floating". It is important they develop correct handwriting habits in Kindergarten to provide them a strong foundation in future class. In addition, students have been independently working on identifying rhyming pairs and counting out syllables. These skills practiced in class will continue to foster a concrete reading foundation in class. Math: In math, we reviewed past shapes learned about and introduced rectangles! Students drew various sized rectangles in their math journals on Monday. In addition, students used information about sides and vertices learned from their triangle lesson to identify the correct number of sides and vertices of a rectangle. Later in the week, students were introduced to number stories. Number stories are very important because the students need to draw out what they hear in a math problem given. They use their math journal books to demonstrate their knowledge. At the start of this week, we will continue to talk out number stories and the students will be able to physically act out some stories for the other students in class. Kindergarten Enrichment: Science: -In science we officially wrapped up learning and investigating about bats! I was surprised at how curious my Kinder students were about the different types and various physical features different bats had. Coming up, we will start a new unit entitled "Weather & Sky". This unit will take us through the holiday season and into the new year. Students will discuss various types of weather, meteorologists and weather patterns in our country. Social Studies: -In social studies, we are continuing to learn about needs and wants. Students are beginning to use their writing skills to compose a sentence about a need they have and a want they have in life. In addition with the "giving season" upon us, the children and I have begun to talk about how people in our community cannot afford the things they need in life. Miss Froleiks is currently creating a project for the Kinders to fully grasp the concept of needs and wants. Micro: In micro, students worked on compiling a list of materials our venture will need. Students wrote cards to fellow students in the school and learned what our mail sorters will be doing with each letter. In addition, students met with Mrs. Barry (the school nurse) to talk about health insurance. Mrs Barry put together our first year of MACS Health Insurance for students K-7! The children listened to what Mrs. Barry had to say and then received an opportunity to make a decision on wether or not they want to purchase a health card. On Thursday , Miss Froleiks' class celebrated our very first birthday in class! The students filled out a page with a kind message to the student celebrating their birthday. The children did a great job writing and illustrating a page in the birthday book! Happy November Families, What a crazy chaotic week we had! From no school on Monday due to power outages, to a 2 hours delay and Halloween on Tuesday and then the walk-a-thon on Wednesday. Not to mention the excitement of getting new playground equipment and learning how to be patient in waiting until it was ready to be played on. We also welcomed a new student to our class this week! It is easy to say, Miss F tried her best to keep the class routine in order for Thursday ad Friday of this week. Here are some pictures from the walk-a-thon on Wednesday! Thank you to any parents from Kindergarten to donated food or their time to this school event! Friendly Reminders: -Monday: MACS Town Hall Meeting during MICRO block -Tuesday: NO SCHOOL for students due to Parent/Teacher Conferences -Thursday: Gym day...please send your child to school with sneakers -Friday: NO SCHOOL due to Veterans Day Kindergarten Academic Day: Literacy: Due to this weeks chaotic start, we learned about one letter name and sound. Miss Froleiks taught about the letter S! The students quickly realized several of our students have the letter S in their name. We worked on writing, tracing, and identifying it in several ways. At the start of literacy, we always review the previous letter names and sounds we have learned. Miss Froleiks pulls out a magnetic letter tile to keep on the board to show the different letters taught thus far. In addition, we continued to talk about rhyming words and syllables. Miss F has quite the collection of "There Was An Old Lady Who..." books, so we have been reading those to discover silly rhyming words and patterns. Math: In math, we were able to do fun counting activities that connected with the holiday from earlier in the week. Students taught one another about ten frames and how to use them to solve addition problems. We are in the beginning stages of using subtraction and addition concepts in class. In addition, we have been discussion counting collections as a whole group. Sometimes when we count aloud, it is easy when the objects we are counting are in a line. However, the students and I problem solved to learn what to do if the objects we were counting happening to be all over the place. The children learned to group objects together in order to add and come up with the total amount. Below is a picture to show how it is convenient to count objects are in a row and how to figure out how to count objects that are not in a row (by grouping together and adding). Step1: 2+ 4=6 Step2: 6+3=9 There are 9 pennies total Kindergarten Enrichment: Science: In science, we continued to talk about bats and revealed some fun facts in various books read aloud. Students learned that bats can eat up to 1,000 mosquitos in just one hour and that some bats called the Bulldog Bat dive into water to grab fish to eat. There are so many different types of bats out in the world, and the students have been reading up and voting on their favorites. Social Studies: In social Studies, students continuing to learn about the differences between needs and wants. They are quickly able to identify the three needs in life: shelter, food/water and clothing. We are becoming more aware of how some citizens in our community do not have these three needs. In addition, our class has been working on explaining what wants are to others in our school. As practice, I show two pictures on the board and someone needs to raise their hand and explain which one is a need and which one is a want...and WHY. Their explanations are so wonderful to hear :) It is also great to hear from families at home that students are bringing these concepts into the real world such as when they are helping parents shop at grocery stores! Buddy Reading: On Wednesday, students split between Miss Carideo's 5th grade class and Miss Froleiks' Kindergarten class to buddy read! The children are becoming for comfortable with their partners. MICRO: This week, your child was picked for a Post Office job. Our managers went through applications and place students at a job position where they think he/she can succeed. Once announcing jobs, students illustrated a picture of what they think their job position might look like. In a few weeks, marketplace will open up and students in Kindergarten will fully begin to understand the micro concepts taught thus far in the school year. On Friday, our managers took smalls groups upstairs into the MPR to view the big kid job fair. Although we have a self contained venture, it is always nice to see what the older students have to accomplish. Students in second grade and older complete in depth resumes, attend the job fair and have interviews with business owners. Each small group that came back from the job fair was excited to see what businesses will be available to go see at marketplace and be able to see what they will be doing in a few short years! Halloween Holiday Fun! On Tuesday, students were able to "dress" Miss Froleiks up in a Halloween costume. They received a worksheet and a picture of Miss Froleiks' head to glue down. From there, students drew a costume and added spooky details to the background. Miss M (our classroom para and art teacher) drew Miss F as her favorite character from Finding Dory, HANK!!! In the afternoon, we were able to do some yoga from Comsic Kids! The kiddos love Miss Jamie :) Greetings Kinder Families, Only 3 more days until Halloween. The children have been counting down in class! I have heard about several of their costumes :) Coming up this week, Miss Froleiks will have a few fun and silly activities for Monday and Tuesday to celebrate this exciting time of year. Then on Wednesday, we start a new month by participating in a walk-a-thon. Going home this week will be conference reminders with the time slot you selected. Important Information: 10/30: Guidance 10/31: NO COSTUMES at school! 11/1: Walk-a-thon....please send your child to school in sneakers and appropriate clothing. 11/1: Book Buddies with 5th grade 11/3: Your child will be given their venture job position (MICRO) Kindergarten Academic Day: Literacy: This week, students were introduced to letters A and G. We have been practicing their unique sounds and how to write them in class. Students know that letters A, I, O, U are all vowels and the remaining letters we have worked on thus far are consonants. The children are very eager to learn about the last remaining vowel in class! In addition to our regular study on letter names and sounds, the children have learned about syllables and rhyming words in reading group. When we talked about syllables, the children viewed a movement activity on the projector that helped them clap, stomp and chomp syllables out! It was a great way to get them moving. When completing work at a table, the students are encouraged to clap out the syllables or use the chin trick :) Math: This week in math was very busy! We began the early stages of talking about subtraction (taking away to get a smaller number). Students were able to physically hide/take away counters in order to grasp this new concept. In addition, the class and I learned two new songs about taking away. The songs 5 Green and Speckled Frogs and 10 in a Bed were played all throughout the week. Both of these songs talk about talking away 1 at a time. The students were even able to act out the 5 Green and Speckled Frogs song! On Wednesday & Thursday, students learned about how to sort. The children made real world connections by linking folding laundry to how you sort. It was great to see their minds think! Students practiced sorting by color, shape and size in class. We were also able to use our math journals to draw/write examples. By the end of the week, the class was continuing to work on subitizing dots with a partner and recognizing similar numbers in a game called Memory. Before completing those tasks, we learned about circles. Students searched for real world objects that looked like the circle shape. Kindergarten Enrichment: Science: This week in science, students began a new inquiry study on bats! We have been reading stories, watching videos and using our prior knowledge to share information about these mammals. On Friday, the children were taught a song about echolocation! The chorus is pretty catchy so you might hear your son/daughter humming it one day. The children have been amazing to learned how many different types of bats are out in the world. Of course they were most curious about bats that suck blood. Miss Froleiks was able to share with the children on wether that is true or not ;-) On Wednesday, we read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat which was fun to identify the rhyming words and sequence each silly thing the old lady ate! Click HERE to view the youtube video of the echolocation song! Social Studies We changed units from talking about community helpers to needs and wants. However, we ended learning about community helpers by meeting some Nashua Firefighters at MACS! Miss Froleiks has read 2 different books about the differences between wants and needs. Your child is working on identifying the difference between these and knowing that food/water, shelter and clothing are the important three things in life we need in order to survive. Coming up this week, we will be doing a sorting activity that will be a great visual for children :) MICRO:
Our MACS Post Office venture has selected our two managers! We are excited to have Emily and Samson work with our class during micro time. At the end of the week, students sat with a manager or teacher to help fill out a job application. The students were given a list of post office jobs to choose from and they needed to apply for one they wanted to have. Students will know by 11/3 what their venture job position is. In addition, students have been told about their responsibility to attend a full micro block. Students are dismissed before 2:55 will NOT receive pay (micro bucks) for that specific day. Since we have out managers in place, attendance is being taken and micro paydays will begin next week! Happy Sunday Families, What a beautiful weekend this has been! We have been busy learning about quantity discrimination, shapes and letters! Students are now in the routine of our daily schedule and have been focused during literacy rotations. Announcements: -Information about our MACS walk-a-thon went home on Friday afternoon. -Please continue to check AND send in your child's orange folder nightly. -Sneakers on Thursday's for Gym! Kindergarten Academics: Literacy: Over the last two weeks, students have been working on letters U, I, O and C. They are identifying these letters as well as saying their specific sound. During whole group lessons, we skywrite letters and brainstorm words that begin with the letter we are talking about that day. The children have been completing several different worksheets that help identify beginning sounds and handwriting practice. In addition, all Kindergarten students have been actively participating in reading group. At the start of the year we learn about reading posture, how to do a picture walk and how to read along with the group (i.e. looking at the story in front of you and pointing to each word). Math: We have been very busy learning new games and practicing old ones! Games such as Top-It or Memory are new to us and we have been playing them using our dot cards. These cards help students with counting and grouping for "quick looks". Last week, students practiced how to complete an AB, AAB, ABB or ABC pattern. In addition, our class has been identifying various shapes in class. We have had a few lessons over the last two weeks on shape names and being able to identify real world objects as shapes (i.e. our classroom door is a rectangle). On Wednesday, we dove deeper into triangles! Students learned two new vocabulary words: vertex and side. Kindergarten Enrichment: Science: Over this past week, we finished up talking about the life cycle of a pumpkin. Students were able to successfully label the different stages of how a pumpkin grows. One key element to our lessons, was learning about using appropriate colors for each life cycle stage. COMING UP: We will be learning about bats! Students will discover unique information about bats and their body elements (i.e. wing, teeth, head etc.). Social Students: The children and I finished up learning about different community helpers in our world. Students were able to identify these workers verbally and out in the real world! It was awesome to see our MACS mailman drive by at recess and the students yell "Thank you community helper!". Students from our class were also doing this for UPS workers and garbage men/women. This unit was also great to be able to connect our MICRO venture to it. COMING UP: We will be transitioning into talking about Needs and Wants for the holiday season. Buddy Reading: On Wednesday, students from Miss Froleiks' and Miss Carideo's class buddy read. The students are beginning to be more comfortable with one another and have a blast together :) MICRO: In MICRO we have begun to fill out resumes with the help of our teachers Miss F and Miss M. Students have been learning about what a resume is and why you need one to apply for jobs. Coming up this week, Kindergarten will be interviewing a few "Big Kids" who have shown interest to be our Financial and Product Managers. Later in the week, the children will fill out a job application for the specific job they want within our Post Office Venture. In addition, we also read a book about being an Entrepreneur. Hello Kinder Families, I hope you are enjoying this three day weekend! Students were very excited to learn they were getting three "stay at home" days with their families. This week has been filled with lots of change over into exploring about fall and pumpkins. Reminders: 1. Early Release Day on Wednesday October 11th 2. Scholastic Book Orders (online or in paper form with check) due 10/20/17 3. In School Book Fair happening 10/10-10/13 4. Gym Day = Thursday! Please send your child to school with SNEAKERS Kindergarten Academic School Day: Literacy: Students worked on letters N and M. They worked hard on remembering what a diagonal line is and how to make it in these two letters. At the start of the week, students brainstormed several different M and N words. In addition, students have started reading groups and are learning how to rotate through their center rotations. Remembering to get our work done, stay focused and always do our best work are our center rotation rules. Ask your child about what they have learned in reading group :) Math: In math, we are continuing to learn how to write our number appropriately. Students reference their handwriting without tears book to trace and practice letters 0-9 on their own. Thus far in the school year, we have practiced writing and counting numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Coming up this week, we are learning about 8 and 9. In addition, students were introduced to patterns! We read stories about patterns, made our own patterns with class manipulative and looked for patterns in our class/school. Kindergarten Enrichment: Science: The students and I made the change over from learning about how a seed becomes a plant to a pumpkins life cycle. We have been reading several different pumpkin books to start our discovery. In addition, students have been noticing similarities and differences among the science studies. Your child (if they choose) will be bringing their plant home this week! Social Studies: As we enter into the Fall season, students have begun to learn about different community helpers. From garbage men/women to nurses and doctors, the children are working on recognizing these important helpers out in the real world. Below are some pictures of students working on categorizing commodity helpers and their necessary tools to do their job! The students worked hard to use their fine motor skills in cutting! Reading Buddies: On 10/4 your child was introduced to their 5th grade reading buddy! Our Kindergarten class has partnered with Miss Carideo's class to provide every other week reading buddies. Half of our class goes up to read in 5th grade, while the remaining students have their buddies come down to us. This is a great opportunity for my Kindergarten students because they are able to meet new students in our school and also watch/listen to a more experienced reader. MICRO: This week, students were introduced to laws and came up with a list of jobs to have in our venture (Post Office). We discussed who is allowed to make laws and how laws are very important rules that EVERYONE has to follow. Students even shared some laws they know about such as: -Wearing your seatbelt in the car -Driving the speed limit In addition, we had our October Town Hall meeting. One of our Kindergarten students was presented with a citizenship award! Congrats to Lucas for being assertive in our Kindergarten classroom. Our new trait of the month is RESPECT! Hello Families, What a marvelous last week of September your children and I just had together. From finishing up assessments, to working on a class cheer and going on our first field trip...it has been a busy week. There were so many fabulous moments that I was lucky enough to grab pictures of. Here are pictures from our field trip to Parlee Farm! The fun continued when we had our first FALCON FRIDAY of the school year and bonded as a whole school at Stellos Stadium! At the start of the week, Kindergarten listened to campaign speeches for class representative, senator, vice president and presidential candidates. Here are photos from the speeches and from the announcement on Friday at Stellos of our specific class representative Lexi! Coming Up This Week:
Students will learn about letters N and M in class. They will also begin reading groups and literacy rotations. If you signed up your child to attend the after school Kinder Club, it begins this Wednesday! (There is still room to register if you would like to sign up!) In addition, scholastic October book orders will go home at the end of the week. Orders may be placed online or can be turned in USING A CHECK only by the due date. In science, we will be using our knowledge from our seed to plant unit, to start learning about pumpkins! |
