Good Morning Families, What a crazy and silly weather week it has been! Who would have thought we were going to have 2 snow days and a 2 hr delay right in the middle of our week! Speaking of silly...the kiddos heard all about my silly trip down to the Patriots parade on Tuesday's snow day. Miss Walchak, Miss MacMillan and I shared our experience seeing the Patriots players and standing outside for 3.5 hours with various precipitation falling from the sky! Below is a picture from our fun experience :) I hope you all stay warm and take the time to enjoy this beautiful snow falling from the sky. Important Updates: With the snow days this week, the 100th day of school will now be on THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16th, 2017! We will have a FULL DAY of activities revolving around the number 100! On TUESDAY FEBRUARY 14th, 2017 we will have a FULL DAY of Valentine's Day activities including several crafts and fun snacks all throughout the day! Please do not forget about the 100th Day activity to complete at home (neon yellow flyer) and if you choose to send Valentine's in please refer to the pink flyer. Both went home last week and are at the very bottom of this post. ** A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the parents who have donated food and supplies for both of these days :) Our Kindergarten AUCTION BASKET still needs supplies. The children know we are compiling supplies for a fun cooking basket and are still in need for various supplies. Below is the URL to the sign up genius that has items listed. I understand how busy you are with your wonderful family, so please consider sending in cash or a Homegoods/Marshalls/TJMaxx gift card so that Miss Froleiks can go out and get the necessary items to fill our basket. By coming together to help donate a few items each, our basket will be filled in no time and it will be a hot ticket at this years auction!! If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to email :) http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090944abad22abfe3-kindergarten Trick Word Update: This weeks sight word cards will be going home TOMORROW. Please continue to add them to your child's AT HOME ring and practice them frequently. As a reminder, this weeks sight words are TO, ARE and IS. SUBTRACTION Kinder students have been learning about subtraction. It is a very tricky concept and we have been working as whole group, small group and independently trying to grasp this concept. Some students were introduced to subtraction using play dough. Below are some pictures of students "SMOOSHING SUBTRACTION" MICRO: Congrats to Kindergarten's Citizenship Award winners!!
