Good Evening Kinder Parents,
I hope you enjoyed yesterdays warmer January weather :) Movie Night on Friday was a success and I enjoyed helping out and seeing several Kindergarten students watch Miss F's favorite movie...FINDING DORY! In addition, several students were excited to talk about the NFL Conference Championships happening this weekend. We talked about the four teams left playing (Patriot, Packers, Falcons & Steelers) and the students were able to pick a team that they want to win during our Question of the Day. Needless to say, the New England Patriots received the most student votes on our chart!
CONGRATULATIONS to all of my hardworking Kindergarten students on completing their mid-year assessments! They did a great job and I am so proud to see their amazing growth!! It is crazy to think that we are half way through the school year...which means my fabulous students are half way to being FIRST GRADERS!
**Helpful Parent Tip**
While completing these mid-year assessments, I noticed that many students shared that they were not read to at home or were unable to read by themselves. It is important to foster a love for reading and literacy at a young age. Please read to your child or have your child read alone for a few minutes each night.
