Hello Families, I first want to start off by saying I am extremely impressed by the amount of kind, responsible and respectful students I have in my class this year. Students continue to make my heart dance by following the classroom rules, encouraging other to follow the rules and being active Micro City citizens throughout their whole school day. Way to go Kinder Friends!!! At the end of the 3rd week of school, students were introduced to "QUICK LOOKS". Students worked with a partner to try and visually see numbers 1-6 in a dot pattern. Below are some pictures: In addition to playing "Quick Looks"...students have been engaged while at literacy centers. We rotate through centers after our whole group ELA lesson of the day. This is also a time when children rotate to Miss Froleiks' reading table for reading groups. We have been practicing using scissors and glue the save and appropriate way. Students are working hard to use their fine motor skills with the scissors and play-dough! The Kindergartener's have done an excellent job throughout all of the beginning of the year assessment testing. Below are some of Thursday's (9/22/16) centers the children participated in: OPEN HOUSE
This is a reminder that on Wednesday there is a PARENT ONLY Open House from 6:30PM-8PM ***The presentation in the Multi Purpose Room is MANDATORY*** If your name begins with an A-L you are to attend the presentation in the MPR @ 7PM. After the presentation, you will walk downstairs to the Kindergarten room for my brief powerpoint. If your name begins with M-L you go straight to the Kindergarten classroom for my powerpoint and then after you attend the presentation at 7:30 PM in the MPR. This Open House is not a time to one on one conferences about your child. This open house will be for viewing your child's work thus far in the school year, getting a glance into their academics for the next few weeks and being informed of our New Room Parent and her role in the classroom. See you Wednesday Night!! Comments are closed.
