Here is an update from both the regular Kindergarten program and the Enrichment program.
Kindergarten Academics (Morning):
Earlier this week students were introduced to the Math Journals. On Monday we talked about, searched for and drew CIRCLES in our math journal pages. Students were asked all day to find the shape of a circle all throughout the school. Some circles noticed were: the lunchroom clock, the classroom timer, the number 0 and Susie the Circle poster in our classroom.
Tuesday was all about ten frame exploration! We used many different classroom tools such as magnets, play dough and slates with expo markers to investigate TEN FRAMES . Below are some pictures from students working hard on ten frames :)
Today (Wednesday) during Kindergarten Enrichment, students met with one of our Kindergarten Mentor's from 5th grade. They compiled a list of activities to have ready for our underwater/aquarium venture during MICRO. Students came up with the idea to showcase underwater videos and put together underwater sea pictures with kind messages on them. Below are the students hard at work in MICRO block today:
Picture Re-Take Day is TOMORROW (Thursday) October 20th, 2016. Please plan accordingly :)
